In order to create more job opportunities, the Ghana team designed in 2018 a five-year development plan that was later extended by three years. These plans are being implemented by our local team in Ghana and mostly financed by friends, churches and funding agencies overseas. In 2023 the Wilde Ganzen Foundation was added as one of Clear Mind’s major sponsors.
Below you will find an overview of CLEAR MIND’s successive DEVELOPMENT PLANS, current and completed:
CLEARMIND CASHEW FARM 2019 (COMPLETED)
The development of a 24-acre farm with a cashew plantation in the rural areas 10 miles from Nkoranza city. The purpose of this farm is to diversify the work and income generated by young adults with special issues, recovering alcoholics, or young people with a mild intellectual disability.
CLEARMIND CAR WASH 2020 (COMPLETED)
CLEARMIND RESTAURANT & VEHICLE PURCHASE 2021 (COMPLETED)
CLEARMIND RESIDENCE AND SHOP 2022 (COMPLETED)
SOLAR ENERGY AND WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT 2023 (COMPLETED)
In November 2023, Clear Mind became the proud owner of a 20KW solar system at the car wash premises and a 5KW solar unit at the residence, thanks to the expertise of the Kapital Engineering firm from Accra, which installed and maintains the units. We also bought a small plot of land next to Clear Mind to manage wastewater and turn it into a garden.
SOLAR ENERGY / PURCHASE AGROFORESTRY LAND 2024. (COMPLETED)
The solar energy for residences and carwash was completed and a large plot of land was purchased near Jerusalem (village near Nkoranza) for mixed cropping agroforestry farming.
PURCHASE UNCOMPLETED BUILDING FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES (funds being raised)
Soliciting funds.
The sketch shows a yellow shaded rectangle marked ‘13’ in the upper left-hand corner. This is a piece of land with a half-finished building that we hope to purchase in 2025 from our neighbours to meet the residential needs for 20 special workers, 2 volunteers and 4 other workers.
COMPLETING RESIDENCE 2026 and 2027.
Completion of the new residence (no. 13 on the map) so that the residential needs of all our staff and workers are met.
